Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will join a new team that includes another three other HR Generalists, including one on the night shift. You will be responsible for supporting progressive HR systems, initiatives, and processes that may including analytics (KPIs, reporting, etc.), employee relations, recruitment/selection, benefits, compensation, and/or performance management.

This is an exciting time. We have strong new leadership in place in many key areas, including HR, and you will have the opportunity to implement and improve HR systems and processes as well as the culture in Bristol.

More about the role

More specifically, you will:
  • Assist with the administration and development of company-wide HR policies, procedures, and practices while maintaining compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the organization’s processes, policies, procedures, and programs
  • Interact with HR team members at other locations to support various projects and initiatives
  • Coordinate distribution/communication of projects, such as the Employee Handbook, 401(k) Plan, health and other employee benefits
  • Facilitate or counsel team members and leaders to resolve individual or team issues or conflicts
  • Identify potential employee-relations issues and makes recommendations to resolve issues to respective leaders
  • Conduct thorough investigations with regard to claims of violations of Company policies or code of ethics, such as harassment, discrimination, etc.
  • Assist in the administration of company compensation and benefits programs
  • Manage short-term disability and/or FMLA leave requests and claims
  • Maintain job descriptions for the Bristol location
  • Administer HR-related systems, as needed, including HRRequest and Reviewsnap
  • Facilitate the hiring process with supervisors to include recruitment and team selection activities, conducting background/reference checks, wage negotiations, communications, etc.
  • Coordinate efforts to attract highly qualified candidates through multiple sources -- recruiters, electronic boards, colleges/universities, job fairs, and professional organizations in accordance with our affirmative action program
