To meet the basic qualifications for this position, you will have 5+ years of supervisory experience. Quick question for you - click here In addition, to be a good fit for the Production Supervisor opportunity, you will have:
  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred 
  • Significant experience leading a warehouse / shipping and receiving team of 20+ team members  
  • Deep knowledge of shipping and receiving
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and train others
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and motivate others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to monitor and report

Reporting to a Production Manager, you will manage a team of 30-40. Quick question for you - click here In this 200,000 sq.ft. facility, we produce walk-in delivery vans for a major eCommerce customer. You will provide leadership, direction, and coordination for the warehouse, including shipping and receiving, with responsibility for safety, quality, and productivity. You will be an active participant in continuous improvement, employee involvement, and equal employment opportunity systems.

Your responsibilities will fall into multiple areas.

In the area of communication, you will:
  • Conduct group meetings
  • Train or supervise the training of new employees
  • Actively lead and coach those you supervise
  • Implement and oversee policies and procedures
  • Ensure employees understand policies
  • Serve as a liaison between departments or groups
With regard to quality and inventory, you will:
  • Develop, communicate, and enforce quality standards
  • Ensure inventory accuracy; assist in quarterly inventory
  • Monitor, report, and correct variation beyond standards 
  • Monitor key metrics relative to inventory (shrinkage, fill rate, etc.)
  • Ensure the efficient location of materials
  • Assist in quarterly inventory
With regard to staffing, you will:
  • Assume responsibility for personnel issues such as hiring, discipline, transfers, promotions, and terminations
  • Schedule work assignments to maximize efficiency
In the area of leadership and safety, you will:
  • Model positive behavior and attitude
  • Monitor and train personnel on safety issues
  • Coordinate employee work schedules
  • Oversee loading and unloading
  • Handle employee confrontations with respect and consistency
  • Handle other appropriate responsibilities as assigned by the area
