• Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data, with stringent attention to detail
• Strong computer skills and experience, including:
  • Proven ability in Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Accounting software, Sage preferred
  • AS 400 ERP software is a plus
• Understanding of strict deadlines, comfort with audits, working with auditors, physical inventory and public reporting; public experience is an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self motivation with the ability to work independently and as a reliable team player
• A strong work ethic with the flexibility to work extended hours as needed

You will work standard business hours (8 AM - 5 PM) but must be able to flex your schedule, including evenings and an occasional Saturday, to meet month-end deadlines and other work demands.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, as Staff Accountant, you will join a strong team including one other staff accountant, and be responsible for supporting the Finance department with a broad range of accounting responsibilities including month-end closing, bank reconciliations and fixed asset management. You will also have the opportunity to help in a variety of other areas such as reviewing allocation reports, monitoring sales units and invoices, ensuring they are going through the system correctly, working with key stakeholders on credits and rebills, working with auditors, supporting inventory, supplying data to executives to inform decision making, and more. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Managing of fixed assets
• Completing month-end closing tasks, including journal entries
• Supporting the Sales department with customer accounting reconciliations
• Helping with the fieldwork for financial and operational audits
• Completing other accounting, financial or administrative tasks as assigned
