  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in production environments Quick question for you - click here
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and train others
  • Experience in companies with at least 300 employees
  • An understanding of Lean manufacturing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and motivate others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong self-motivation and a desire to grow professionally
You will work Monday - Friday nights from 10 PM until 6 AM, with the flexibility to work until production is complete and/or to meet the demands of your role. As an essential business, we have strong protocols in place protecting our employees and safeguarding their health across all of our campus operations.

Role overview
Reporting to a Production Manager, you will supervise about 80 employees during a shift. In this 200,000 sq.ft. facility, we produce walk-in delivery vans for a major eCommerce customer. You will provide leadership, direction, and coordination of a prescribed manufacturing area, with responsibility for safety, quality, and productivity. You will be an active participant in continuous improvement, employee involvement and equal employment opportunity systems.

Your responsibilities will fall into six main areas:
  • Communicating effectively with your team and other functional groups.
  • Developing, communicating and enforcing quality standards.
  • Ensuring efficient allocation of materials.
  • Actively leading continuous improvement efforts.
  • Handling staffing, including hiring, discipline, transfers, promotions, etc.
  • Providing safety leadership.
